Small Groups

Ministry Director: Pastor Dan 209.966.7734

"He [Christ] is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ." Colossians 1:28 (NIV)

NLCF offers various small group studies to encourage and equip the body in wisdom and health to enable us to grow to full maturity in Christ so that we might live our lives to the fullness that Jesus offers us in abundance!

We believe that true "community" happens when we spend time together in smaller groups, rather than merely attending Sunday Morning services. Our studies and ministries are open to anyone willing to take that "next step" in their walk with Christ and connecting to the body of believers.

"Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved." Acts 2:46 (NIV)

Small groups are the bedrock of community and they are always changing and growing. Don't miss out on the blessing of really getting to know others and walking together in the path of holiness.

SMALL GROUPS CHANGE CONSTANTLY SO PLEASE CHECK BACK OFTEN.  MANY STUDIES "TAKE A BREAK" IN SUMMER BUT OTHER STUDIES OR ACTIVITIES OFTEN HAPPEN...CHECK CALENDAR FOR CURRENT EVENTS

    Men’s Tuesday Evening Bible Study

    Book of Acts

    Leader: Lloyd Hobby 209.966.3921

    Tuesday 7p-8:30p NLCF Coffeehouse

The Acts of the Apostles, also called "The Book of Acts" or simply "Acts", is a historical account of the first 30 years of the Christian church, from the final day of Jesus' ministry on the Earth to about 60 A.D.. Needless to say, a short book cannot cover everything that happened over a period of three decade. The Acts of the Apostles describes only some of the highlights starting in Jerusalem and through the missionary journeys of the Apostle Paul. As a result, the Book of Acts is fast-moving, action-packed and covers quite a bit of geography as well as time. Come join us on the journey.

This study will help facilitate leading men toward living more courageously in four key areas:

-Responsibility: serving, protecting, and casting a vision for their family.

-Priorities: focusing on eternal things, rather than what is temporary.

:-Legacy: recognizing a father's potential impact as a godly role model.

-Faith: strengthening of father's identity in Christ, increasing in wisdom.

Men, whether you are married or single, old or young-this study will change your life!

    Place:     NLCF Sanctuary

Men need the support and fellowship of other men, but often busy schedules and numerous responsibilities prevent us from taking the time to get to know each other or even to reach out for help. Our time for doing this has been firmly established on our Thursday night men's groups where we sit down to share a meal (made by some guys that really know how to cook-just ask someone that has been there) and learn together.

We begin with the dinner meal at 6 PM and then the study starts at 6:30 PM. This is a community group for men of all ages and faiths. Please invite a friend, neighbor, co-worker, or family member.

All day, every day, an invisible war rages around you-unseen, unheard, yet felt throughout every aspect of your life. A devoted, devilish enemy seeks to wreak havoc on everything that matters to you: your heart, your mind, your marriage, your children, your relationships, your resilience, your dreams, your destiny. But his battle plan depends on catching you unaware and unarmed. If you are tired of being pushed around and caught with your guard down, this study is for you. Just as Paul once mentored Timothy, we need each other to stay the course and live a life of faithfulness.
