We are thankful to have David join the Elder Board at NLCF. A native of Central California and graduate of San Diego State, David married his beautiful bride Rhonda in Atascadero in 1983 and they had their two lovely daughters, Dee Dee and Kelly.
David spent 19 years with the CYA (California Youth Authority) and “retired” in 2007 after serving in Mariposa for 10 years. David and Rhonda have filled many shoes in their service to the Lord such as Elders, worship leaders, small group & youth ministry leaders, prayer and deliverance ministry and much more as well as being a part of New Life in “the old days.” They also have a Hospitality Ministry in their home for Pastors and Missionaries called Rhondavu Retreat where they open their home and hearts to those needing respite and encouragement.
In 2006 the Lord called them to Oaxaca Mexico to begin a ministry of service to the people in a rural mountain area called Tlaxiaco teaching practical skills and ministering the love of Christ. After 4 years they returned home to Mariposa but David still flies back many times a year to minister and help those they served so faithfully.
David’s joys include tinkering in his shop with his many projects/inventions, spending time with his wife, 2 daughters, 2 son in laws and 4 granddaughters, time in prayer and worship, and seeing people come to freedom in their lives.
